Founded in 1881 as a Commercial House, Horans have been in operation by present husband and wife team, Eamon & Marie since 1992. In that time, Horans has been expanded consideribly now comprimising of accomodation offering discerning guests, apartments and bedrooms finished to a high standard suitable for both leisure and corporate guests alike. Downstairs an authentic bar popular with locals, a laid back lounge serving home cooked food and The Base, a popular, trendy woodfire pizzeria are available to our guests. Glendalough National park in the Wicklow mountains is only 40 minutes away by car. Horans Bar and Restaurant dating back to 1881 is located in the town centre of Baltinglass offering great food with a choice of menus served everyday from 10am till 10pm and live music at weekends. Baltinglass is a heritage town West Wicklow dating back to the 11th century with the stone walls of Baltinglass Abbey can be seen standing proudly today.
