Basically you won’t need transport to get to the main sights from the place at all! But in case you’d need it, that’s very easy – airport shuttle bus station is 200 meters away, as well as the public bus stop. There are several shops, supermarket and great restaurants 2 minutes from the doorstep, famous Stradun (the main promenade) 1 minute walk, amazing City Walls and beautiful Baroque palaces, such as Rector’s Palace and Sponza Palace - 2 minutes walk and city beach Banje and famous Buža bar are 5 minutes walk
Hi! Like you, we enjoy visiting new places whenever we can and have enjoyed the hospitality we've received in the homes of others far more than anything that can be found in a five-star hotel. We are very hospitable, polite and friendly and we enjoy meeting new people. It's like going back in time when you walk into the walled city. It's also a sad reminder of the state of the world still after all of the centuries when the city was started that it was severely damaged not that long ago in the Balkan Wars. Reconstruction is still going on. Take the time to see the monastery, walk the water front, and check out the stores. This was a key part of the Game of Thrones sets! Take some cat treats to feed the friendly cats in the city also!
