Villa Sofi is a traditional stone house situated in a typical neighbourhood of a Cretan village.It's ideal for people who are looking for an area just outside the tourist zone giving you complete peace and quiet from the noise of the town. It's a good starting point to explore the West Crete and visit the famous beaches of Falassarna , the exotic Elafonisi island and the unique lagoon of Balos, all three have crystal bluegreen water and pinkish sand which is due to the shuttered seashells. Distance for all of them is less than an hour driving.Of course you have the chance to visit worth vising beaches in less than 15 minutes such as Kasteli,Colimbari,Drapanias,Nopigia,Ravdouhas,Afrata etc In Colimbari and Kasteli there are traditional tavernas where you can taste the Mediterranean and Cetan cuisine.There are also plenty of shops where you can buy everything you need. The city center is just about 25 min drive. In Nohia village there is a bakery shop that will provide you daily with fresh bread and also a mini market with totally everything in 5 minutes walk. The bus doesn't run very frequently so we advise you to rent a car to be able to explore the beauties of our island.
