Expansive, 180 degree sea views of Souda Bay, the White Mountains and Point Drapanos. This is a home where you can relax and soak in the views and sun or get out and explore the many beautiful beaches and ancient archeological sites that Crete has in abundance. The house has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, fully functioning kitchen, and living room along with a main terrace and roof deck to enjoy the expansive views and sunsets. The sunroom allows for indoor/outdoor living with a full size dining table and separate sitting area. The home has air conditioning in each room. Free high speed satellite internet, a flat screen smart tv, along with Sonos audio in main living area. A full size washing machine is available for use in the main bathroom. Guests have access to a shared swimming pool that is a short walk from the home.
Chris and Debbi love the home and Crete. Crete is a special island with incredible history, beautiful beaches and amazing food. There is so much to do and see - from incredible gorge hikes, touring ancient historical sites, exploring small villages, exploring caves, and enjoying the beaches. We are super excited to share our home and the beautiful area of Plaka with you.
Plaka and the surrounding areas have much to offer and provide an excellent base to either stay local or explore other areas of the island. The villa is a casual walk to the excellent local tavernas and well-stocked supermarkets within the village of Plaka, and a few minutes’ drive to the beaches, shops and restaurants, of nearby Almyrida and Kalyves. There are also excellent isolated swimming spots a short drive away. The ancient city of Aptera is on view from the Villa and a short drive to visit.
