Recently renovated apartment in the city center with modern decoration and balconies overlooking the city and the Cretan Sea. Sakura Dntwn is located in Heraklion historical center at G. Chronaki street, building number 17, just 3mins walk from the famous Lions Square with its Morosini Fountain, local traditional market, bars, taverns and restaurants.
As certified hosts we always intend to make the stay of our guests in Heraklion as unique and enjoyable as possible. Please if you need advice about restaurants, bars, beaches, car rental, tourist spots do not hesitate to ask us!
Sakura Dntwn is just 3-minutes walk from El. Venizelou (the famous Lions Square) with the Morosini Fountain which is considered one of the most beautiful Venetian monuments of Heraklion, the Basilica of St. Mark built by the Venetians and hosts the Municipal Gallery of the Municipality and the Venetian Loggia where the Town Hall is located. Immediately below you will find the beautiful church of Agios Titos which was declared a cathedral of the Archdiocese of Crete. On the street 25th August you will reach the old Venetian port where you can admire the Venetian Fortress (Koule). The distance to the Archaeological Museum from the accommodation is about 5 minutes walk. The same for metropolitan church of Agios Minas and the bus stop for the Archaeological site of Knossos. The bus ride takes 20 minutes (5 km). The Venetian walls with the tomb of Nikos Kazantzakis are about a 10-minute walk away. At 50 meters there is a 24-hour parking station. There are also several restaurants, cafes, bars, banks, laundry, and many shops for shopping.
