Platanos/Falasarna is located about 10mn from the main town of Kastelli (Kissamos) and that is where we are located. The studio is self-contained and has all the amenities that one wishes for an enjoyable relaxing holiday. The studio is fully air-conditioned and comprises a fitted kitchen, a bathroom with toilet and shower, a bedroom with double bed and a sofa settee. A living room is adjoining comprising TV, radio, Wi-Fi and reading and DVD materials. Outside you can enjoy the tranquillity of the garden with hammock, fruit trees and table and chairs for comfortable sitting on the terrace for relaxing and the odd evening barbeque. This self-contained studio has everything you will need for a comfortable enjoyable stay. It is located next door where we live and has its own private access terraced area for relaxing and eating. The kitchen is equipped with cooking facilities such as hot plates/oven, microwave, toaster and kettle. A fridge with freezer compartment is provided to keep your food fresh and drinks cool. Plates, cups, glasses, pans and cutlery are all provided. The bedroom is well suited for a couple with a child as sleeping arrangements fit a small family. Catering for families with a small child or baby, we have available free of charge equipment such as pram, high stair and cot including baby toys. Outside a propane gas barbeque is available for cooking your favourite meats or fish. We are registered for short term letting and comply with the Greek Tourism Authorities regulations. We are an English couple living in Loupasiana village, at the top of the hill from Falasarna beach, who made Crete their home. Our house has a fully independent studio next door which we make available to our family and friends. Hence we are offering this studio to our guests to enjoy a Cretan holiday. The town of Kastelli (as the locals refer to it) or Kissamos is close by and Chania is at 50mn by car. Both towns have all you will need for shopping, eating out and exploring the rich Greek culture. Famous beaches of Falasarna, Balos, Gramvousa, Elafonissi and Sfinari are all there for you to enjoy. Outside is your own private space with barbeque (depending on government advice), hammock, seating area with table and chairs on a terrace under the canopy of awnings. A parking space on the drive is available for your car. PLEASE NOTE: A car is a necessity in Crete to get about and to visit and explore most places. It is advisable to arrive at Chania International airport as we are 50mn by car for this airport. Bearing in mind that the next international airport of Iraklion is 4 hours away from us. There is coach service running from Falasarna beaches to Kissamos/Kastelli bus station. In the summer, this service runs regularly 3 times a day (morning, afternoon and evening) and the bus stop is at the top of the hill, near the church but would stop outside our door if hailed. Adding to this, a local supermarket, a chemist and ATM cash machine are available in our village about 1 mile from our Studio for all your necessities. With its rich Cretan traditions, you can explore and enjoy traditional villages where you are welcomed to enjoy the cafes and local tavernas. If you are a keen hiker then you have miles and miles of trails you can enjoy in the surrounding hills including exploring ancient Falassarna ruins. If the city of Chania attracts you with its ancient garrison, Venetian port and old town architecture, we are about 45 minute-drive away.
