Red Platanus is a country house in the village of Plataniotissa at an altitude of 750m, it is situated in an amphitheater position in the center of the village above the square. Plataniotissa is located at a distance of 15 km. from Kalavryta, 25 km from Aigio and 17 km from the coastal village of Eliona where you can enjoy your bath. The house provides wi-fi, is newly built with insulation that keeps it cool in summer and warm in winter. It has one bedroom with a double bed and a TV and another with two single beds and there is also the possibility of an additional single bed after consultation, the living room has a TV and the kitchen has all the equipment of a modern home, as well as a bathroom with a shower. Outside there are terraces with a view of the surrounding mountains where you can enjoy your breakfast or your coffee and relax listening to the birds chirping. In the village there are three taverns with seasonal food and stews and a coffee shop. The village and the house are mainly suitable for people who like peace and nature and are nature lovers where they can go hiking in the village chapels located around the surrounding hills as well as in neighboring villages. Through the village of Perna and the river Kerynitis and at the entrance of the village is Panagia Plataniotissa which is a huge sycamore tree of centuries where inside its cave there is a relief outline of the figure of the Virgin Mary and Christ where every year crowds of believers flock and celebrate September 8. In the summer, a car passes three times a week from a bakery in Kalavryta and there is also a small shop with fruits and vegetables. The nearest attractions of the area are the Cave of the Lakes 32 km. the Planetarium 40 km. where the visitor can enjoy trout from farms in the area, the Mega Cave 21 km. and Lake Tsivlou 64 km. The house provides breakfast with butter, jams, honey, toast and coffee.
