Studio of 35 square meters, on the ground floor of an exquisitely restored old stone house, constructed around the beginnings of the past century. Located on the slopes of Mount Parnon and in the heart of its 'Ecological Park', rich in flora and fauna, the setting allows you to relax with breathtaking views of Mount Taygetos and spectacular sunsets. Being a retired, since 2018, professor of Economics at an Athens University, I have now more time to enjoy my house in the village of Megali Vrysi. It is the village in which my grandfather was born in late 19th century, but which I discovered in about 2005 due to a research I was conducting on rural development, within the framework of an EU Program. Being fascinated by the beauty of the region I bought an old house, most probably dating from the beginning of the past century, which was fully renovated in the traditional manner, respecting the local architectural tradition. I use the upper level of the house for myself and host friends or guests at the lower level studio advertised here. I will probably be there most of the times to welcome guests and show them the house, but if not, someone will be there to lead them to the house and explain details. Written instructions will also be found inside the house.

Megali Vrysi, once a vivid agricultural community, is now deserted, with some renovated houses inhabited by owners, mainly on weekends or during the summer , whose origin is from this place but are currently living in Sparta or other nearby places. Yet, the village is only about 4 kilometers from Vamvakou, where a process of revitalization is taking place, with a lot of interesting activities, a lovely tavern and new guesthouses.
