If you are looking for a peaceful and relaxing holidays this is the best option. You can reach Kastellos village by renting a car or by taxi and the access to Georgioupoli village is very easy. This popular destination has many shops and tavernas, Lake Kourna, Argyroupoli and many other villages. Inside you will find a Private kitchen with all the mandatory electrical appliances such as, fridge and refrigerator, a kitchen, washing machine for dishes and clothes. At your disposal there is also a filter coffee machine, a water kettle, a hairdresser and a sandwich maker . At the big balcony you will find a table with chairs and a clothes rack. In the dining and living space you will find a TV with satellite channels, Air conditioning and pellet heater for the winter period. All the windows and balcony doors have mosquito screens. The accommodation provides free linen, towels, free Wi-Fi that covers the whole apartment , parking lot, an iron with ironing board. The pool is built according to the Greek National Tourism Organization parents have the full responsibility to supervise their children.
Kastellos is one of the villages of Georgioupolis, at the northeastern side of the prefecture of Chania. The village is built at an altitude of about 200 meters above sea level, on top of a hill at the foothills of the White Mountains. Kastellos was therefore named after its location. Formerly, the settlement was built at another location, where Agathes – one of the oldest villages of Crete- is now situated. The Turkish invasions of 1800, however, forced some of the residents to migration. Those who left their homes built a new settlement, Kastellos with approximately 100 permanent residents. The Turkish invasions in the area of Kastellos stopped in 1835, when the Turks were overwhelmingly defeated in a battle. The residents of Kastellos, however, have also demonstrated heroic resistance against the German occupation during the Second World War. If you find yourself in Kastellos, you can visit Kournas Lake, located just 5 kilometers from the village, while the distance between Kastellos and Chania is about 50 km. The waterfalls in Argiroupoli Lappa is only 15 minutes away. There are many scenic restaurants and cafes and is definitely a must see destination. The award winning beaches of Georgioupoli and Episkopi are only 10 minutes from the property by car.
