Katafygio is a small family-owned pension, very well situated about half-way between the village of Marathias and the splendid Marathias beach, which you can reach in 10-15 min on foot. The rooms are small but functional and pretty, and spotlessly clean. The bed is large, the mattress provides very fiorm support. The doors open onto a veranda and they are fitted with mosquito nets, and there is also electric mosquito killer in the rooms. You have a fridge, a few basic pieces of cutlery and dishes, a kettle and tea cups. It is possible to have your morning tea or coffee (provided) on the veranda which has a small table. Maria makes excellent sandwiches, and cooks breakfast as well. She speaks flawless German and English, and is very attentive and caring hostess.

I was pleased with my choice. Excellent combination of price and quality. Maria and her family were very hospitable. Maria is a great cook, so you don't have to look for food anywhere in the village)). The room is clean, with a comfortable bed and air conditioning. The village has a wonderful sandy beach and a constantly warm sea. (the water is colder in the upper part of the island). In general, I liked everything.

The host is nice and friendly and cooks very good. We were a group of 6 and the although we came back at 23:00, not only that the restaurant was still open but she offered to make soup just for us at that hour. The breakfast is delicious with plentyfull food and it also has products made by the host, such as fruit marmelade. The property looks just like in the photos, is very cosy. You can walk to the beach around 10-15 min.

The food was amazing, best we’ve had in 10 days in Corfu, including restaurants and hotels. The portions are quite big, so you can easily share. Greek meze on the house. The host also surprised us with a small jar of locally produced honey, on the house. We’ve alse bought home made olive oil, produced by the host. It was a great experience :)

We stayed only two days and we wish we could stay more. Real value for money. Really clean and friendly home environment. 8 min walk from the fantastic beach of marathias. Also the food at the tavern of the refuge has amazing home local food. Thank you Maria😉P.s. Your homemade strawberry jam was amazing. Looking forward to come again!!

Super gemütliches Bett, eine so wundervolle Gastgeberin, die einem jeden Wunsch erfüllt. Traumhafter Strand in der Nähe. Ein einfach super niedliches Dorf in Griechenland ohne viel Tourismus. Wir lieben es und werden wiederkommen. Danke Maria für deine Gastfreundschaft. ❤️ wer es etwas ruhiger mag und Urlaub machen möchte um Griechenland etwas kennen zu lernen, ist hier genau richtig.

Maria war eine sehr nette und aufmerksame Gastgeberin. Die Zimmer sind schön renoviert und entsprechen den Fotos. Wir hatten ein super leckeres Frühstück und Abendessen in der Taverne. Der schöne Sandstrand ist in wenigen Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar.

Maria verwöhnt ihre Gäste mit ihrer traditionellen griechischen Küche jeden Tag auf's Neue. Die Zimmer sind geschmackvoll eingerichtet und gemütlich. Die Atmosphäre ist wunderbar familiär. Der wundervolle Sandstrand ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar.

Nous avons passé un super séjour chez Maria. Les chambres sont confortables, jolies et très propres ; la nourriture est excellente qu’il s’agisse de l’incroyable petit-déjeuner ou du dîner. Les portions sont généreuses et nous avons pu découvrir une nouvelle spécialité grecque chaque jour (sans oublier le souvlàki). Maria et sa famille sont aux petits soins en plus d’être d’une grande gentillesse. De plus, une belle plage de sable se trouve à seulement quelques minutes de l’établissement. En espérant avoir l’occasion de revenir bientôt ! (Sans oublier le mot de l’été : kaput 😂)

Super Unterkunft. Tolle Ausstattung und Stil mit viel Olivenholz was das Zimmer nochmal attraktiver gemacht hat. Klimaanlage vorhanden, es gab ein kleines Willkommenspaket auf dem Zimmer und alles war sehr sauber. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und komme gerne wieder!
