Matevz was a school teacher and fencing trainer in Slovenia before he moved to Ghana and take care for Cocoa Village Guesthouse. He staying in Ghana now almost 10 years.

In the year 2007 Matevz has decided to travel with a bicycle around Burkina Faso. After a while he got bored in desert flat country so he crossed the border and continued his journey to Ghana. People he met on his way advised him to stop at the meteorite crater lake Bosumtwi. He found the lake Bosumtwi one of the most beautiful and attractive places he has seen during his journey in Ghana. Following year he returned and bought land. Cocoa Village Guesthouse located deep into the bush of meteorite crater Lake Bosomtwe is definitely a unique place but still only lodge in true sense of the word. We offer simple lodge style accommodation without AC, hot water, fast Wi-Fi etc. in the middle of the meteorite crater lake (they are only 6 of that kind all over the world). Located on the prime place on the shore of lake we are sure in that we can offer one of the best Lake Bosomtwe experience. Dinner, breakfast or lunch on our lake side deck can be first class experience if you come to enjoy in nature and rural way of life.
