‘Woodside’ is a cosy self-contained 1 bedroomed holiday home. Our modern accommodation features an open plan dining area and fully fitted kitchen, dual aspect lounge, and luxury hot tub. The holiday home is set within the grounds of our own farmhouse.

Hi, we are Jon and Sarah, married for 17 years with 3 children, we have made our home in Haughton, a tiny hamlet not too far from the Market town of Retford. We bought our forever home, a non working farm back in October 2017 and have spent the many years since transforming the buildings and land into what is has become today. This is a new venture for us and we’re really looking forward to welcoming you to our holiday home, ‘Woodside’.

Relax, unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility ‘Woodside’ has to offer. Nestled within the beautiful Nottinghamshire countryside, surrounded by acres of open fields and woodland, this is the perfect location for a romantic getaway. The woodland offers the ideal opportunity to spot the local wildlife we have on our doorstep, sightings of Pheasant, Buzzards, Roe Deer, Fox and Badgers are not uncommon. You may even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of our resident barn owls that frequent the owl box very close to where you are staying. After spending a hard day, whether that be taking in the local sights that Newark, Lincoln, Nottingham or Retford has to offer, visiting Sherwood Forest to see the Major Oak, home to Robin Hood, taking a stroll around the beautiful scenery of Clumber park or indulging in some retail therapy at Meadowhall retail park, why not kick-back and step into your own private luxury 5 person Hot tub. What could be more relaxing than soaking up the bubbles whilst also drinking some! We live on the premises at ‘Decoy Farm’ and are available should you have any queries, need any advice or recommendations about the local area, or just fancy a chat, however we do appreciate that some people just prefer to be left alone to enjoy their time away.
