Welcome to The Wayside and Whisky Barn. Wayside Farm was built in approximately 1637 on the west coast of the Lake District, Cumbria. The Wayside and Whisky Barn is situated at the base of Black Combe, surrounded by stunning scenery and the Cumbrian coast. It is the perfect location for a relaxing weekend away or for the more adventurous we provide an excellent base for walking, biking, sea kayaking, wind surfing, kite surfing, we have fantastic horse riding, or if you are touring around the south west coast on motorbikes. We are an ideal place to stay overnight, with secure parking, and after an exciting day out, why not relax with a cold glass of beer, or a pint of cold draught Peroni, good food or a warming single malt whisky, if you try one and really like it you could purchase a bottle from our Whisky Barn to take home.

The Wayside is situated in Whitbeck at the foot of Black Combe in the idyllic countryside within the south west Lake District National Park. The location sandwiched between the coast and the fells offers a plenty of activities, including horse riding on sandy beach, fell walk directly starting from the Cottage's door steps.
