Ty Cefn Tregib (which is Welsh for "The house behind Tregib") is a converted barn, coach house and stables, formerly the outbuildings for Tregib Mansion, sadly demolished in the 1970’s. It stands in a sheltered, secluded garden surrounded by woodland and fields, with open views across former parkland and the Towy Valley to Llandeilo. We have a spacious B&B apartment in the house comprising a large living room with a kitchen area, bathroom and bedroom which can be set up either 2 twin beds or a super-king-sized double. There is a full single sofa bed in the living room. You can contact us direct to specify your bed preferences. High vaulted beamed ceilings add to the spacious and unique ambience of this very individual holiday apartment. Freesat TV and WiFi. Also on site are a self catering cottage The Coach House, which can sleep up to five people and a very special glamping cabin The Lookout, set up for 2 people Located in the westernmost corner of the Brecon Beacons National Park, we are easily accessible, just 15 minutes from the end of the M4, making us a convenient, central base for exploring the beautiful mountains, valleys, coastline, castles, gardens and many other attractions that West Wales has to offer. The local village of Ffairfach is just 10 minutes walk and has a pub which serves great food, grocery shop, an award winning butcher, and bus and rail links. The vibrant little market town Llandeilo, just one mile away has restaurants, cafes, pubs, banks and a wide variety of interesting small shops and galleries, The National Trust’s Dinefwr park and Castle are in Llandeilo. A few minutes drive will get you to The National Botanic Garden of Wales, Aberglasney Gardens, the spectacularly situated Carreg Cennen Castle or The Roman Goldmines at Pumpsaint.

We are an extended family here at Ty Cefn Tregib. with three generations of the family living on site. Mary looks after the holiday accommodation whilst John is fully employed looking after the grounds and making sure everything works properly. We have lived at Ty Cefn Tregib for more than thirty years having converted it ourselves from a range of farm buildings, so everything on the property has touches of us about it and is continually evolving. We all love the place and love to share it with others. We have been providing B&B and self catering accommodation here at Ty Cefn Tregib for over 20 years. We all make great efforts to make our guests feel welcome and are very happy to share our local knowledge with them, but we are also very careful not to intrude onto our guests private space, so the rule is “we will leave you alone, but if there’s anything you want, or need to know, just come and ask, we will be glad to help you”
