NEAR BY... Ty Capel or The Chapel House, was built in 1871 and is a really special ‘premier’ holiday home, located close to the town centre in Tywyn, on the edge of Snowdonia National Park and only a short walk to a sweeping sandy beach and the world-famous Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Railway, which inspired The Rev Awdry author to write ‘Thomas The Tank’. Ty Capel is ideally situated for whatever type of holiday you want. Miles of sandy beaches and stunning walks are just a 10 minute walk from the Chapel. As well as this fantastic location, just down the road from Tywyn’s Blue Flag award-winning beach, the town centre with its independent shops, supermarkets, restaurants, pubs, excellent eateries, cinema and leisure centre with pool, is just a minute away. Surrounded by the Snowdonia National Park, if you're into cycling or horse-riding there are numerous scenic places to ride and the internationally-famous mountain-biking centre at Coed y Brenin is just 40 minutes away. This is a walker’s paradise with the Wales Coast Path passing along the sea front. For those seeking even more challenges, Cader Idris is just a 15 minute drive and Snowdon can be reached in just over an hour. If you're not the active type, then how about a ride on the ‘must do’ famous Talyllyn Railway, narrow-gauge steam railway right here in Tywyn? Also, Aberdovey Golf Club & harbour is only a 10 min drive.
