Dumfries and Galloway is a part of Southern Scotland often overlooked by those heading North to the Highlands. It retains a slow old fashioned character and is a hub for arts and crafts as well as having many lovely beaches, pubs and restaurants. Our little gem of a cottage is just the thing for getting away from modern life and relaxing. Exceptionally quiet and peaceful with gorgeous views, great walks etc. Dogs are welcome Please do not book with us if you are looking for a modern clinical type hotel room with a big telly. The guests who enjoy staying here the most are educated, country people. If you don't have wellies and are the fussy types who complain about everything please do not book - there is a premier inn in Dumfries which you will find suits you better (and I think it's cheaper)
We like to let our guests do their own thing but we are always available if they need anything
Lovely and peaceful with gorgeous views and great night sky It's best to have a car when visiting but if you don't, there is a small bus for trips to Dumfries and Castle Douglas that will pick you up and drop you off at our road end.
