The Woodshed is situated in a rural part of Suffolk but close to a number of towns and only a short drive from the coast. Laxfield has a pub, The King's Head (also known as the Low House) and serves both drinks and food. There are a number of other good pubs in the area, The White Horse in Badingham and The Queen in Dennington are also worth a visit. Framlingham is a busy market town still hosting a market on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The town has a number of events on throughout the year including fringe events for the Aldeburgh Food and Drink Festival which celebrates the fantastic and wide ranging produce on offer in the county. If you are looking for tasty treats then it is worth heading to Focus Organic in Halesworth and take the time while you are there to explore the town and see what is on at The Cut. The coast is a short drive from The Woodshed. There are a number of seaside towns or wilder parts of the coast to explore including Dunwich and Minsmere. The towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold have lots of independent shops, restaurants and cafes whilst you can get away from all of this by heading to Dunwich or further south toward Orford and Shingle Street.
