If you are looking for a quiet & relaxing place to stay this is the answer! The Studio is a separate annexe in our 1 acre garden. You will have your own 480 sq.ft. of space!: entrance, super large living area open to beamed ceiling, bathroom and double bedroom all to yourselves. Tea & coffee, sugar & some milk provided, fridge, freezer, toaster, cutlery, crockery. This is on a B&B basis, [Continental breakfast]. Share the use of the pool for free when open in the summer.

I'm very involved with a community choir. I love going to the theatre, musicals & opera locally or London. I dabble in watercolour & oil painting, love gardening. We have lived in this area for many years and can give you lots of help and advice on the best places to visit, dine, shopping, etc. and how to get there.

We are 2 minute drive to villages of Buxted and Framfield, 5 minutes to Uckfield Town Centre with leisure facilities. We are also close to many beautiful places and National Trust houses and gardens: Standen, Scotney Castle, Batemans, Battle Abbey to name but a few. There are many lovely parks nearby, Buxted Park, Sheffield Park, Ashdown Forest etc. Around 20 minutes to Glyndebourne [for opera lovers], Firle [Hang glidiing and Love Supreme Festival], Lewes for antique hunting. A 30 minute drive North to Royal Tunbridge Wells, or south to Brighton for The Brighton Pavilion, Museum and the Lanes - a great place to find that unusual present; 30 minutes to Eastbourne and the rolling Downs [National Park] along the coast via Beachy Head, Birling Gap and Cuckmere Haven towards Seaford Head. 30-40 minutes drive to Historic Battle, Pevensey Castle, Bexhill [1920s De La Warr Pavilion], Hastings, on to beautiful Winchelsea & Rye.
