The School House has been converted in June 2023 to a luxury 3 bedroom property situated in the heart of Ashburton. Renovated and designed to a high standard; benefiting from underfloor heating, porcelain flooring throughout, Ventilation Heat Recovery System, Spa bath, Duravit Sanitary ware, Vado rain showers, Luxury Kitchen with all mod cons. The spacious property sleeps 6 people in 3 ensuite bedrooms. Access to the property is via an electric entry gate and driveway. Bedroom 1 comprises a Super King Bed with ensuite bathroom. The bed also converts to two twin beds upon request. There are French Windows with a Juliette Balcony; a smart 44" TV and bespoke wardrobe. Luxury egyptian cotton bedding is provided with feather and duck duvets and pillows in all bedrooms. The ensuite bathroom comprises a spa bath and separate rain shower. There are night and nook lights in all bathrooms. Bedroom 2 has been furnished classically with mahogany furniture and also boasts a large floor to ceiling sash window. The ensuite bathroom comprises a double duravit sink and extra large rain shower with separate hand shower on a slider and has been beautifully tiled with italian Ca Piedra tiles. Bedroom 3 with ensuite wet room has been specifically and discreetly designed as an accessible bedroom/wetroom. It has a modern headboard with back led lighting and reading lights. It comprises a double bed. The bedside tables are moveable to provide a additional space if necessary. Please see photo of bedroom measurements. The height under bed is 15 cm suitable to fit a hoist. There is a bespoke wardrobe with drawers and in built unit for a 44 " smart TV. Access to the front Entrance is via a ramp with handrails. There is accessibility to all the ground floor rooms and areas. Parking is available for 1 vehicle. Otherwise other vehicles are able to use a public car part 2 mins away or alternatively off street parking. An outdoor area is being prepared at present.

A great location from which to explore Devon and to experience Devon Life. The School House is nestled in the centre of Ashburton with views of the surrounding hills. Ashburton the prettiest stannary town on Dartmoor National Park. It has charming independent boutique shops ranging from "the 10 antique trail shops", vintage clothing, galleries, fish deli, artisan baker, local devon butcher, to pubs and eateries and the lively Arts Centre where various live music performances/cinema etc take place most days. There is also a local Co-op and Spa convenience store. A ten minute stroll from The School House takes you to a fabulous outside heated swimming pool with a large lawn to sunbathe on in the summer. The local ancient Church St. Andrews has services on Sundays and the magnificent Buckfast Abbey in Buckfastleigh 10 mins drive. Buckland Beacon is a 3 minute drive from the School House and Hay Tor and many other attractions are close by such as River Dart Country Park, Pennywell Farm. Dawlish warren beach is a 20 minute drive and Bantham beach is a 40 minute drive away. Torquay sea front is a 20 min drive. Also it is an easy drive to explore The South Hams and Dartmouth, Plymouth and Exeter. All easily accessible from the A38 - 2 mins from Ashburton. There are also some pretty local walks through the bluebell woods from one's doorstep. Various activities are available to jet skiing hire in torquay to horse riding on Dartmoor, paint balling, canoeing on the river dart and many more.
