The Red Barn at Venn Farm is a self catering barn conversion. It sleeps 4 plus a cot. The barn has a sun-flooded open-plan reception room, kitchen, and diner. Downstairs there are two pretty bedrooms – one twin, one double. Both bedrooms have Egyptian cotton bedding and ample storage. The large bathroom has a bath, shower, and a heated towel rail. Complimentary Haekels toiletries are provided. Throughout the property there is under floor heating and should you need it there is a also a wood-burning stove with a complimentary basket of logs supplied from the farm's own woodlands. Externally, the Red Barn has its own private deck overlooking a very large garden and tree-lined fields. There are also wooded areas with dens for children, large grassy areas, and formal gardens. The terrace faces east so it's steeped in sunlight all morning. Guests are welcome to collect eggs from the friendly hens. Larger parties could rent this alongside our adjacent properties The Cob (which sleeps 9) and The Farmhouse (which sleeps 8). 21 in total.
We moved here with our young family in 2007 to be closer the sea after many years working in the fashion industry in London. Venn Farm is situated in a quiet countryside setting close to the beaches of North Cornwall and 5 miles form Bude and the stunning North Cornwall beaches. Our love of design and architecture has shaped what we have done here at Venn Farm. Renovating the properties has been a labour of love over many years. Our interiors style is a mix of mid century pieces, vintage finds and souvenirs from our travels. Our signature style is pops of colour and crisp white walls with lots of artwork. Most of all - we love sharing our local tips with our guests. We pride ourselves in making each stay super special.
Perfectly situated in a tucked away, quiet and laid-back rural setting just a short drive from the vibrant, coastal town of Bude boasting and array of local amenities plus the beautiful beaches of Sandymouth, Crookletts, Northcott and Duckpool plus the famous Bude Sea Pool. The area is a walkers paradise, with access to the South West Coast Path you can head north in to Devon and visit the peaceful Hawkers Hut and stunning church at Morwenstow or South towards Crackington Haven. *Bude is surf heaven. Hire kit and book lessons if you’re a beginner; the owners’ kids are both coaches at Big Blue Surf School. * Or simply swim, paddle and float in Bude’s natural sea pool. *The Rocket Store in Boscastle is an amazing little restaurant serving delicious local produce and cocktails. *Trebarwith Strand is incredibly beautiful at low tide. *We love rockpooling at Northcott Mouth Beach, and admiring the rock formations at Crackington Haven. There’s a great pub at Crackington where you can sit on the wall and watch the sun go down. *Walk or run stretches of the South West Coastal Path, awash with stunning seascapes. *Pretty Port Isaac and Padstow are easy day trips.
