Location is excellent for countryside and coast. Cafe, restaurant, shop, butcher, fishmonger on site. There are lots of other attractions on site, e.g mini-golf (very entertaining), mini farm, inflatable play, alpaca walks - especially for kids. Staff were very helpful throughout.

The Shepherd's Hut, Quex Park Estate, hotel in Birchington

Offering a garden and garden view, The Shepherd's Hut, Quex Park Estate is set in Birchington, 14 km from Sandwich Railway Station and 21 km from Sandown Castle.

From start to finish this trip was amazing. The sat nav took us the wrong way and they were on the end of the phone to guide us in. We were met by Ian who showed us in, was so welcoming. The hut is quirky. But is warm welcoming and set in amazing grounds. With its own amazing farm shp among other things. Quex park is a must. We had one small (tiny) issue whilst we were there. but Ian was on the end of the telephone to help rectify the issue. And he could do enough to try and put it right. So helpful. I can't wait to return and stay in the shephard hut again. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. DONT WAIT YOUR MISSING OUT ON A BEAUTIFUL TREAT.

I was visiting family and friends but there is plenty to do if it is purely a holiday. Public transport is good to all areas. Broadstairs is nearby and has many eating places, Minnie Bay in Birchington has seafront restaurant and bar. There is shopping at Westwood Cross, numerous takeaway options with delivery, best fish and chips at Fishbone Grill just as you come into Birchington. There are many beaches around the coast but do check which ones have doggie restrictions from May . RAF museum is worth a visit as is the spitfire museum. Eating places there too.

Such a beautiful place, plenty to do, loads of beautiful beaches, places of interest to see. We went everywhere by bus, we brought a day rider ticket for £4.50 and that allowed us to travel all day. We had a fabulous time.

Birchington is a nice little town with all the shops and supermarkets you could possibly need. The people were very friendly too! Good place as a base too in order to explore other beaches and towns.

Great location in walking distance to Birchington town centre. Reason for my stay was I was visiting my Nan and I brought my boyfriend this time so we decided to book a b n b. Once we left we said this will be our go to b n b when we visit again. House was very relaxed and welcomed warmly. A continental breakfast was provided with nice juices, crumpets with cheese and ham and fresh fruit. For the price we paid we could not fault it. Comfortable bed and quite location. We will be back : )

We only liked going to Broadstairs via cab as the Birchington Vale Holiday Park where we stayed at camping pod felt like we were staying on a building site and looked more like a council estate resort park!! So our places of interest into town and the beaches in Broadstairs, Ramsgate, and Westgate were more welcoming and interesting to visit and see than the resort we were sadly staying at!!

Good location, easy access to Minnis Bay and Birchington railway station, making travelling along the coast very easy. Well, thought out accommodation and secure parking was a bonus. Particularly liked the little finishing touches like shampoo, tea bags, coffee, etc, that made the stay even better. The host was friendly and explained everything upon arrival. Recommended.

Comfortable and clean mobile home, no cigarette or animal smells. Set your expectations right and will not be disappointed (i.e. it is a mobile home, not a 5* spa hotel) neighbourhood was quiet after 10PM - fairly rare at such caravan parks. small swimming pool at holday park (had to book and pay for 1h slots ..) plenty of nice places to visit within 30min car drive.

A unique experience in small flat in a lovely private garden with brilliant hot tube. We particularly liked the well stocked fridge. The owners could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Perfectly placed for Birchington and Westgate. We would highly recommend and will be back as soon as possible.

Staff were amazing and could not be more helpful. Sadly the restaurant does not serve breakfast on a Sunday meaning we had to go elsewhere for breakfast. No bar facilities after 11pm even for those staying in the hotel was disappointing. But lovely comfy beds and again staff went above and beyond.

Brilliant, clean, well equipped, roomy. I don't think the pictures on bookings.com does it justice. Stones throw from Birchington beach however better beaches to be found a short drive away in Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs. Would highly recommend.
