The Orchard house is a Georgian Town House of charm, character and style that offers luxury self catering accommodation On the edge of The Northumberland National Park and situated less than a mile from Cragside Estate. The village has various amenities on your doorstep including pubs, cafes, restaurants, and shops. An ideal base to explore the attractions of Northumberland's many castles, historic sites, and coastline. Our aim is to offer a rather special place to stay, providing simple elegance and unrivaled comfort, that is a true home away from home. The Orchard House dates back to 1790 and displays a wealth of period features. It has six bedrooms and six bathroom facilities in addition to a cloakroom, drawing room, sitting room, dining room, and Kitchen. Set over three floors this house is a great choice to celebrate that special occasion or simply enjoy a relaxing break with extended families or friends. Lovely country walk and those into The Cheviot hills can be taken from Orchard House. River walks and Golf are within walking of the property. From Newcastle drive 45 mins and an hour and a half from Edinburgh
We spent many years restoring our beautiful Georgian home. Whilst we now live in Africa we have a Manager in Rothbury on hand to ensure every stay is a special one.
On the edge of the National Park we are surrounded by the Simonside Hills and the Cheviotsthe. The countryside is spectacular. Rothbury on the River Coquet, has a range of boutiques, shops, pubs and tea rooms. Cragside and Alnwick Castle are close by. Northumberland is filled with ancient castles, hidden gardens, unspoiled beaches and rolling Hills. The Northumberland National Park is the least populated in the UK and offers every activity imaginable.
