We are writers and filmmakers who have lived in the village for many decades. The family has owned the house for 60 years and we love this area for its natural beauty, friendliness and local character.

Located in a rural area of outstanding natural beauty, Llanfihangel-y-creuddyn is seven miles inland from the coastal university town of Aberystwyth. The Old Post Office is the corner house of the main row of original cottages at the heart of the village, which enjoys protected historical status. Notable features are the fine stone tower of the 12th century church of St. Michael and the award-winning gastro pub Y Ffarmers. There are plenty of local activities available, with Devils Bridge Waterfalls and Steam Railway only fifteen minutes drive away and the forest walks of the Hafod Estate and the beautiful beaches of Borth and Ynyslas approximately twenty-five minutes drive. The parish lies within the Cistercian Way which connects the historic abbeys of Wales and includes Strata Florida about thirty minutes drive south. The local town of Aberystwyth has a lovely seafront promenade, with pier and beach, and winding backstreets with cafés and restaurants, boutiques and delis, as well as the town museum, castle and old university buildings. Supermarkets can be found on the nearside outskirts of Aberystwyth, including a large Morrisons with free parking.
