Newenden is right on the Kent Sussex border and situated seven miles to the west of Tenterden seven miles north of Rye and twelve miles east of Battle. The Channel Tunnel is only forty five minutes by road and the spa town of Tunbridge Wells is also a short drive away taking about forty minutes. The seaside towns of Hastings Eastbourne and Brighton are also easy journeys and are excellent day trips. Within the village you can hire rowing boats and canoes from March - October. There are many walks, bike rides and local areas where you are able to exercise your dog off the lead. You have the options of five local restaurants within walking distance, including - a pub, x 2 cafes, Indian & Kebab house. All of which offer take away service. Newenden is Kent's smallest village. The two way narrow road through the village, which has a 30MPH limit, is about sixty feet away from the twin bedroom which is located at the rear of the house. Whilst this road is the A268, it is not classed as a busy road and, due to the very narrow bridge at the southern end of the village; large commercial traffic tends to use other routes. Any traffic noise in this bedroom and the rest of the house is minimal, or non existent at most times. At night it is very quiet.
