The Martlet Inn is a proper country inn set in beautiful rural Somerset. Our dedicated team of staff will look after guests from check-in to the point of departure. We serve up a hearty farmhouse breakfasts, accompanied by lighter options, of a morning and have wonderful lunchtime and evening meals to enjoy. We spent a lot of time during lockdown to re-invent the upstairs of the pub as spacious airy letting suites and we aim to offer you a warm welcome as well as a relaxing stay. The Martlet Inn offers spacious and well appointed letting rooms which have been recently renovated to a high standard. The Martlet is situated in the peaceful village of Langford Budville, easily accessible from the M5 motorway just 5 miles away. The local area offers beautiful walks and bike rides through the stunning Blackdown Hills with the Quantocks also being just on our doorstep. The Langford Heathfield Wildlife Trust is right on our doorstep offering a boardwalk through incredible bluebell woods. Both the North and South coasts are easily visited from here as are the cities of Bristol and Exeter. At The Martlet we specialise in sea-food and game alongside comforting pub fayre sourced from local suppliers. Well kept cask ale and a thoughtful wine list complement the delicious food we serve. With a pretty cottage garden outside, a light and airy dining area as well as a roaring log burner in the bar you can pick a comfy spot to watch the comings and goings of our village pub! The Martlet is situated in stunning countryside right on the Somerset Devon border. We are 5 minutes from the M5 motorway and the National Cycle Route 3 runs straight past our front door! The stunning Blackdown Hills and Quantocks offer superb walking and biking trails and both the North and South coasts are easily accessible for day trips. For those looking for some more urban days out we are perfectly placed to visit either Bristol or the Cathedral city of Exeter.
