Although a modern conversion, we've kept many of the older features of the original barn, blending the old with the new. We can sleep up to 4 people, in our double and twin bedrooms (both en-suite) . Our central location is ideal for the beaches of N Devon and Cornwall, as well as access to Dartmoor, Exmoor and Bodmin Moor. Our rural location gives the perfect opportunity to relax and disconnect from a busy digital life (partly due to the slow internet speed!!). We consider ourselves privileged to live in such a picturesque area. Our love of wildlife has led to us re-wilding our field, which is there for you to enjoy. With very little man-made noise, you’re likely to hear the local wildlife. Our truly dark skies, provides the perfect location for anybody who has an interest in astronomy. The Hayloft is to the side of our house, therefore we are available to you, whenever needed. Whether it's a question about places to visit, or just inside local knowledge. We are here to help. Newton St Petrock is a small village, but with a lot of History. From The Hayloft, you can see the old motte and bailey of Durpley Castle. St Petrock's church is in easy strolling distance, with the newly excavated well, just beyond. Great Torrington and Holsworthy are the nearest towns (20 mins drive), offering a selection of shops. The beaches of Westward Ho! and Bude are our closest (30 mins drive), and some of the cleanest in the country. Dartmoor, Bodmin and Exmoor are all within an hour drive.
