The Barn is a semi-detached cottage near to Stamford Bridge in Yorkshire. The cottage sleeps four people and has one double bedroom, one twin room and a family bathroom. The cottage also has an open plan living area with a kitchen and a sitting area. Outside is off road parking and a lawned garden with outdoor furniture and a barbecue. Stamford Bridge was a fording point over the River Derwent for a Roman settlement, but nowadays is a town with a selection of shops and restaurants. The village is the site of the Battle of Stamford Bridge on 25 September 1066, which marked the end of the Viking era in Britain.
