Stunning, tranquil valley location, surrounded by a smallholding only 5 minutes from the A303. High quality furnishings, underfloor heating, small patio area for guest’s sole use overlooking the garden and the valley view with table and chairs. If the weather lets you down then these can still be enjoyed from the comfort of the lounge area through the bifold doors. King size memory foam mattress and Hungarian Goose Down bedding. Full fibre broadband (please note that mobile signal is very weak though - we are rural!) Own herb garden (subject to availability). Welcome basket with local goodies on arrival. Please note that we are down a bumpy track so this is not suitable for low vehicles. If you are looking for a peaceful countryside getaway but not too far from the beach or town then this is the place for you! PLEASE NOTE we are accessed by a bumpy track so if you have a very low vehicle this could be an issue!
Owners live on site in the cottage next door so available for help during your stay if needed but will leave you to your own devices otherwise.
Mostly a farming community, so very little traffic around except at harvest times when you may meet some tractors! There is more likely to be a traffic jam caused by cows moving fields than vehicles! We have one local pub about a 20 minute walk away and there are a few about a 5/10 minute drive too, as well as a local shop/post office. We are about a 15/20 minute drive from main towns such as Chard, Wellington, Honiton and Taunton, and about 35 minutes to the coast (Lyme Bay).
