We are James and Louise of Speyside Cottages, putting a face behind our business which we started building, literally in 2016 with our first refurbishment, we love breathing life into aged properties. We live in Dufftown, Moray our daughter was born here. James joined his families’ Guest House when he relocated – attracted by the fresh air, open landscape and tremendous dog walks he & Dave (Sprocker, man’s best friend!) could enjoy. James & I have adventured, lived & now work together. I love Speyside's way of life, people, pace & the remote wildness you can feel at times. We love to travel ourselves. Delivering a quality holiday experience is very important to us By refurbishing old properties we know it inside & out. Creating homes each with a delight factor is key – These are homes we would love to stay in ourselves & want to share with others. We value the personal connection & attention to detail so we do our best to provide this for our guests too.

Property information

The Tannochbrae is a historic, 5-bedroom, all ensuite, newly renovated 150-year-old Victorian home. It gives the experience of a period residence with all the luxury of modern living & the opportunity to book this entire property for your Group. This gives you and your group or family full use of Kitchen and Laundry, as well as a small outdoor courtyard with BBQ and seating. The Bar is available by pre-booking for it to be opened. Breakfast hampers or service can be provided by pre-arrangement, it is not included automatically in your booking. Private Front Door, with welcomed check in or self-check in. • The Ferguson lounge is accessed from the Entrance hall. This has comfortable seating to relax in after an adventure-filled day, with a Smart TV & the delight of a real wood burning stove fire. • The Dining room is accessed from teh entrance foyer, a large dining table seating 10 with additional chairs and tables if needed • A permanently mounted IPad in the lower hallway, giving access to all smart home elements • Stunning social kitchen, with granite island, bar stools, wine chiller, boiling water tap, integrated fridge, dishwasher, gas range, double oven & grill with automated lighting & Smart TV. • Walk-in Larder with microwave, toaster & large supply of crockery, a large freezer. • Practical utility room, washing machine, tumble dryer. A perfect spot to hang up wet weather clothes, dry dogs & has the convenience of a sink & cleaning supplies • A private courtyard at rear with BBQ & imposing garden furniture, suitable for up to 12 guests. This gives good off-street storage for bicycles. • An exclusive Whisky Bar & secondary Lounge is available by prior arrangement and booking • If Breakfast options are required please advise when booking
