Our bright and airy newly renovated guest house gives wonderful views over Loch Long whatever the weather. This fully equipped space gives you the freedom and privacy to relax and enjoy this scenic Sea Loch and its shore line. If you like the outdoors, nearby are multiple walking trails which you can enjoy, whilst still having access to local restaurants and shops,this is the place to be. No two days Loch views are ever the same and the constantly shifting weather is one this areas main appeals. You can enjoy the serenity of being out on the peninsula without being too far from civilisation, with local shops and hotels in Cove and Kilcreggan and Helensburgh and Glasgow only 30 and 70 mins respectively away by car, we feel we have the best of both worlds. To gain access to the property you go through the back gate to the private stable door entrance, upon entering immediately on your left is the utility area, on the left-hand side is the private entrance to the accommodation.

Hi, my name is Yvonne and I and will be your host if you decide to choose Taigh Na Uillt. My husband Gary and I moved to Cove about 5 years ago, having spent eleven years in the United Arab Emirates. I am Scottish and Gary is from Yorkshire and having followed him during his military career, we decided to settle in Scotland on the beautiful shores of Loch Long. After our kids moved out, we decided to revamp the area that is the holiday let and whilst Gary did the majority of the physical work under my direction :), I got to do the nice bit which is the decorative touches. We decided to rent it out so that other people could enjoy what we do every day and I love meeting people from all walks of life and countries which Taigh Na Uillt offers me from the comfort of my own doorstep. When not running the holiday let my main hobby is my horse Calypso an ex-racehorse that I brought back from the UAE who lives five mins away, and spending time with my daughter and grandson who live in Helensburgh. I want anyone who visits us to feel that they are comfortable and at home and whilst I love social interaction, I respect the need for privacy and space which we have in plenty.

Cove is a lovely village that has its own Country Shop, a Burgh Hall that holds regular events( behind which is an absoloute gem of a kids playing park for children, teenagers and adults who enjoy zip sliding) and a Sailing Club. These are within walking distance from the House. Kilkcreggan the next village along the pensinsula, which is only 10 mins by car, has an award winning Butcher, post office, local chemist, shop, bank and cash point, cafe, local Pub the Creggans, retro store and antique shop. The two closest restaurants, are the Knockderry Country House hotel, which is a 15 min walk along the shore road towards Couldport. The Kilcreggan Hotel is based in Kilcreggan accessed by Barbour road a road that runs parallel to the shoreline, with scenic views over the Loch. Parking is available to the right on crossing the cattle grid at the gate. To make it easier for yourself I would recommend parking facing the gate so you don't have to reverse out. Gary and I will park to the left in front of the house. There is also parking beside the picnic areas on the shore front.
