Built over 200 years ago, the windmill has undergone complete renovation after being derelict for a number of years. Reputed to be one of the tallest in the country, with 9 floors, it enjoys superb views of the surrounding countryside and coastline. The mill dates back to 1789 and was formally used for milling of corn for animal feed. Sadly, a lightning strike placed it out of action in 1940.
