Our camping cabin in the garden is especially suited to young and young at heart, independent travellers such as walkers or surfers who want a base close to brilliant beaches, great walks around the coast and the pubs, restaurants and other entertainments of the North Devon Coast. It is basic, but cosy and quirky. It is good for couples, pairs of friends and solo adventurers.
Our family love living in this coastal village and have enjoyed meeting our many guests over the last few years. We enjoy the proximity of the ocean, the lovely local walks and our own adjacent woodland. W are sure you will too! Angus and I will generally always be around for your stay and can offer information and advice as you need it.
Lee, is a small village with an active local community nestled in a valley between Woolacombe and its great surfing beach and the Victorian seaside town of Ilfracombe. It has a small bay with safe swimming and rock pooling and access onto the South West coastal path. There is a pub - The Grampus Inn - a seasonal beach front cafe and a craft shop. The village hall hosts various events including an arts and crafts summer show for several weeks. Opposite our house, we have 10 acres of woodland where we host 'wild' campers and a number of woodland activities. Guests are welcome to enjoy our woodland during their stay. Some have enjoyed using our woodland shower - effectively the stream! And others the fire pit areas to enjoy a meal. There is off road parking opposite the house in front of our shed and it is ok to park on the road side too. There is no public transport anymore from the village, but a great coastal footpath - both ways to Ilfracombe and Woolacombe - offers a pleasant walk, and taxis are reasonable for those who want help with the return journey.
