Traditional 17th Century chocolate box cosy thatched cottage with pretty garden located on a small working beef farm, rural secluded location & perfect base for relaxing, recharging batteries and exploring Dorset. The Cottage is ideal for couples, a small group of friends, or a family. Pet friendly. The Jurassic coastline, South West coastal path, and the harbour of West Bay is a 10 minute drive away. Bridport has a twice weekly flourishing street market & a vibrant antiques quarter, Charmouth is ideal for fossil hunting and Lyme Regis beautiful too
Hi I'm Tess, I live at Strongate View, at the top of Strongate Lane, virtually on the doorstep of Strongate Farm. I'm on hand during your stay and can be contacted at any time on my mobile. I adore our location, and was brought up on the farm. I have always lived locally, it's such a lovely area, there is nowhere else I’d rather be.
We are a small working farm with beef animals in the fields, ducks and geese and very friendly chickens. The Cottage is located at the end of a long winding lane, no passing traffic. Bridport offers a unique calendar of events and a variety of festivals throughout the summer months from literary, film through to food & music. It's a lively market town full of many independent shops, great restaurants, pubs and coffee shops . Take a stroll around the antiques and vintage quarter before exploring the breath taking World Heritage Site of the Jurassic coastline at West Bay, featured in ITV Broadchurch. West Dorset is full of footpaths for all types of walker, with stunning views at every corner. The South West Coastal path is recommended. Your own transport essential during your stay. Nearest rail station is Crewkerne or Dorchester depending on which route you chose to travel.
