Hosting on behalf of the owner. I grew up in a next door Kent village so I have a great love for the area and know it well! I look forward to making recommendations that will enhance your luxury stay at our properties.

Property information

Escape to the country and take time to unwind in this stunning thatched cottage for two. Set in the grounds of the owner’s 15th century yeoman’s timber hall house, Spinster’s Nook offers luxurious studio accommodation that has been ingeniously designed and sympathetically modernised. The parquet flooring has been up-cycled from Cloth Hall and is now warm underfoot. The modern kitchen with its cast concrete worktops and the state of the art wet room surround a sumptuous king size bed.

Neighbourhood information

The chocolate box village of Smarden is a stone’s throw away and has been called the most beautiful village in Kent. It is certainly a lovely village, blessed with a number of attractive historic cottages, a medieval church, and three pubs. There are plenty of walking routes directly from the Barn that will see you exploring the Garden Of England at its finest. Shop: 3.4 miles Pub: 0.2 miles Coast: 22 miles.
