The Woodpecker Shepherd Hut will be ready for your stay with fresh sheets, towels and some wood. You have solar powered lighting and phone charger stations in the Shepherd Hut which is situated away from the rest of the property to provide you with privacy. Electricity and WiFi accessible in your private Kitchenette and fully plumbed shower room/wc (a short walk from your hut, 40m). Glamping with plumbing !
It’s a pleasure to welcome people to this part of Suffolk that is so accessible to the beautiful city of Cambridge and Newmarket racecourse. Martin and Lisa live on the estate should you need them.
There are some beautiful short and long circular walks with footpaths that take you along farmland and woods to adjoining villages and their welcoming pubs. We are Ideally situated for The Garden Barn wedding venue just 1.5 miles away. The Shepherd Hut can be a great base for visiting Newmarket Racecourse, Wicken Fen nature reserve, Cambridge City, Bury St Edmunds, Duxford air museum and the quaint villages of Lavenham, Long Melford, Finchingfield, Clare, Castle Hedingham, Steeple Bumpstead and more. There are a number of beautiful places to visit within approximately 30 minutes drive. Cambridge Park and ride makes getting into the city easy.
