Royal Mile Secret Library is a charming, character-filled property perfectly placed in the heart of Edinburgh's historic Old Town. Located on the third floor of a historic A-listed building built in 1902 for the Scotsman newspaper company, we promise you a warm Scottish welcome! After a day exploring Edinburgh’s hidden gems you’ll enjoy cosying up in this charming and comfortable space with its antique furniture, artwork and maps. In the spacious living room, with its high ceilings, you’ll find a vintage Chesterfield sofa, reclaimed furniture and wood panelled walls housing bookcases with hundreds of books and artworks. The large sash and case windows let in plenty of light and look out onto the impressive stone buildings that line North Bridge. In the dining space you’ll find a large, antique dining table and chairs fit for a feast, drinks before heading out for dinner or ideal for working at. A wonderful surprise awaits you hidden behind the book-lined walls. Find the secret opening to reveal a cosy double bedroom for a comfortable night’s sleep. The kitchen is well-equipped for when you feel like a night in cooking, and you’ll find a large shower in the bathroom.
