Rhoslan is close to the town but situated in a quiet corner bordering open countryside. There is a footpath/cycle path which runs behind the property leading down to the coast path. There is only the one room used for accommodation so there is always parking available in front of the property on the driveway and guests have the undivided attention of the hosts. The room is a generous size with a view looking out towards the sea. Guests may also use the front porch for walking boots, etc. Breakfast which is 'continental' is taken in the room where fruit, breads and pastries are kept. In addition small table and fridge are located in the hallway between the bedroom and shower room for items needing to be kept cool. Tea and coffee making facilities are set-up in the bedroom. Care is taken to present a clean, bright and comfortable place to spend time. There are plans to develop the patio in front of the bedroom into a small garden and seating area for 2020.
It is lovely to meet folk from outside the area and who have come to explore this special part of the U.K.
Fishguard is a small town which is an ideal base from which to explore the Pembrokeshire Coast Path. There is an excellent Pub in town 'The Royal Oak' which offers attractive decor and very good food; Tuesday night is 'Folk Night' at the Royal Oak. The Thursday and Saturday Markets are community hubs and ideal for meeting the locals and perhaps hearing Welsh being spoken. The town also has a little Theatre which screens films all year around and at times productions from the Royal Opera House and plays from various London Theatres. During the Summer months the town hosts a Folk Festival and a Jazz Festival; the area as a whole hosts a Music Festival. Other seaside towns worth visiting are Newport, New Quay, Tenby and Saundersfoot. St.David's, the smallest City in the UK is not far. For a quieter experience the Preseli Hills offer wonderful views and wild ponies.
