Reedcutter Lodge is a beautiful Scandinavian A-frame luxury lodge located in the wonderful, tranquil woodland setting of Weybourne Forest, set high on the hill above the popular coastal village of Weybourne, and within a short drive of Sheringham, Cromer and the lovely Georgian market town of Holt.

Neighborhood info

Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Weybourne is a picturesque coastal village made up of flint cottage. Popular with fisherman, the shingle beach gives access to the coastal path. From here, enjoy a wonderful three mile cliff-top walk to the Blue Flag sandy beach at Sheringham, with Cromer beyond. This area is a walker's paradise. Sheringham Park is especially wonderful in the spring when the azaleas are in full bloom. Kelling Heath and Muckleburgh Hill offer miles of interesting trails. The village is famous for the Muckleburgh Military Collection, and Weybourne Station, a delightfully preserved Edwardian country station, which is a stopping point for the Poppyline steam trains that run between Holt and Sheringham throughout the year. Children will love the indoor pool at Sheringham. There is a popular pub, The Ship Inn, serving very good food, a well-stocked village store, and a tea room. Just 20-minutes by foot, or 2 minutes by car, The Pheasant at Kelling offers mouthwatering menus. The Coasthopper bus service runs through the village on its travels between Kings Lynn and Cromer. The popular Georgian town of Holt boasts an array of independent shops and galleries, and is just three miles inland. The neighbouring village of Salthouse is located on the North Norfolk Coast and overlooks the salt marshes next to the Norfolk Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre. Clustered around the village green are pretty cottages, The Dun Cow pub with a large front garden that looks directly over the salt marsh, and Cookies Crab Shop offering platters of seafood, salads, sandwiches and ice cream. East of the village, past the village pond, is Mac's Plaice where you can buy fish 'n' chips during the summer months. For National Trust lovers, Felbrigg Hall and Blicking Hall are nearby.
