Red Kite Hut is a shepherd’s hut with a studio-style layout with double bed, kitchen equipped with an electric hob, fridge with ice box, microwave, kettle and toaster and dining area with a Smart TV and woodburning stove. There’s a shower room with walk-in shower, basin and WC. Underfloor heating, WiFi, fuel and power, a starter pack for woodburning stove, bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Outside there’s an enclosed veranda with furniture and fire pit, Lazy Spa, BBQ and and off-road parking for one car. One well behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Nearest shop in 3.3 miles, pub in 3.2 miles. Bring your special someone for a break at Red Kite Hut. Note: There are steps up to the property, please take care. This property has a good housekeeping bond of GBP 50.

Neighbourhood information

This pleasant village lies in the beautiful Tanat Valley at the foot of the Berwyn Mountains, only 4 miles from one of the Seven Wonders of Wales - the magnificent Pistyll Rhaeadr (240 ft high waterfall). Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant was the location for the successful film, The Englishman Who Went Up A Hill But Came Down A Mountain, and more recently the film Nativity 2 starring David Tennant. The village boasts two general stores, a newsagent, a Post Office, a butchers, three pubs, a café, a fish and chip shop, and an Indian takeaway. It is surrounded by stunning countryside, providing walking trails for all abilities including the Berwyn Ridge Walk and a trail to the summit of the waterfall. Discover Lakes Vyrnwy and Bala, the National Trust Powis and Chirk Castles, medieval Shrewsbury and Chester and the wonderful Snowdonia National Park.
