Beautiful, peaceful cottage in the village of Litton, ideal as a relaxing couples getaway in the heart of The Peak District or a base to go hiking and or cycling. 9 miles to Chatsworth House, 1 mile to Tideswell (Cathedral of the Peaks)where you will find small shops and pubs. Bakewell is 6 miles away, famous for Bakewell Pudding! Large supermarket and plenty of shops, and pubs. Buxton is 9 miles away. This is the highest town in England, famous opera house, plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants and the recently renovated famous Crescent. Fabulous walking from your doorstep. Wonderful pubs in the area. Private parking, private garden with a garden room. Stunning kitchen. Wood burning stove. Some wood supplied. Bathroom with freestanding bath, separate shower King size bed. Plus a double bedroom Perfect for a week of relaxation ! So many walks from the front door. Monsal Dale, leading to the famous Monsal Trail and Cressbrook Dale, gorgeous walk, wild orchids in the spring: Mam Tor, well known walk for the hardy hiker is 9 miles away. Castleton is 7 miles away and is well known for its many caverns. Great walks around Derwent reservoir 13 miles away. Not to mention many great pubs, including The Red Lion in Litton. Nearby The Ashford Arms in Ashford, 5 miles away. The Barrel at Breton, amazing views and only 3 miles away. The Bulls Head in Foolow 2 miles away. What’s not to like about coming to explore The Peak District.
I am self employed and love the countryside. Lived here all my life. It is great to give the opportunity for other people to come share what the Peak District has to offer. I have my own boarding cattery and 2 holiday cottages one in Youlgrave and the other in Litton in the Peak District. I have my own cats, dogs, chickens and pet pig I am available for emergencies
Very peaceful beautiful Peak District Village with fabulous walks from your doorstep. Wonderful village pub, serving local beers and great food. Walking straight from the property. Private garden for morning breakfast, coffees and BBQ and a garden room to sit in with a nice glass of wine or a cuppa and a good read. It has bifold doors to let the garden in ! Parking is very easy, private parking space at the side of the property.
