For the keen explorers England's highest peak (Scafell Pike) and England's deepest lake (Wast Water) are both within easy reach. Ground Floor: A delightful open plan living space with wooden flooring and patio doors leading to a patio area, with a table and chairs. Guests can also enjoy the use of our BBQ. Living area: With a smart/satellite TV, Radio and a newly installed wood burning stove. Dining area: Enjoy eating together with a dining table for 6 people and a highchair also available on request. Kitchen area: An electric cooker, microwave and dishwasher. Utility room: A washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer, kettle and toaster. Waberthwaite village is a perfect location for a peaceful and restful holiday in the National Park and is the birthplace of traditional Cumberland sausage. The local family butcher have been producing Cumberland sausage in the village for over 175 years, and their village store is only a stone’s throw from Damson Cottage. The local inn (The Brown Cow) is a great traditional family pub serving good food and a great selection of beverages and is an easy short walk from the property. The cottage is just 4 miles from Muncaster Castle, gardens and owl sanctuary, and the pretty fishing village of Ravenglass with its Eskdale Miniature Steam Railway. The estuary and Eskmeals Nature Reserve are within easy walking distance, half a mile from the cottage down a quiet country road.
