Mersey Valley trail just down the road - excellent routes for dog walkers. The villages of West Didsbury and Didsbury Village are both very close and offer many bars and restaurants. Burton Road is a 10 minute walk away with many popular bars and restaurants including Folk, Proove, the Metropolitan, Volta, and the George Charles to name a few. The Woodstock (excellent local gastro pub) and Albert's Shed are also within stumbling distance. Many local National Trust properties nearby including Quarry Bank Mill, Tatton Park and Dunham Massey. Manchester City Centre is a short short bus or tram ride away - would recommend MOSI (the Museum of Science and Industry) and the National Football Museum.
