Newly renovated former blacksmith’s in the seaside village of New Quay, Efail Fach Cottage lies around 7 miles west of Aberaeron on the Ceredigion coast. Just 2 minutes’ walk from the beach, the cottage has sea views and provides free WiFi. Efail Fach, formerly known as Oyster Cottage is close to Coastal Paths. The area is also a popular choice for sailing holidays, watersports and dolphin watching. The cottage has a master bedroom with a super king-size bed; a second bedroom has twin beds. The third bedroom on the ground floor is a cabin bunk room. There is a bathroom with shower and his and hers sink on the ground floor and a separate cloakroom on the first floor, all newly renovated. The cottage enjoys a smart flat-screen TV with Netflix and Disney Plus subscriptions. There is a separate dining area and fully equipped kitchen with an induction hob, electric oven, fridge freezer and dishwasher. There is an elevated patio with views of the sea. Linen and towels are provided.

Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.7 for a two-person trip.

Newly renovated former blacksmith’s in the seaside village of New Quay, Efail Fach Cottage is on the Ceredigion coast. In the Garden there are steps that lead up to an elevated patio with sea views of the bay, where you can relax and dine on the garden table and chairs and watch the sun go down or rise in the morning.
We have a shared passion for property, interiors and great holiday locations. What better way to combine all of these things than by creating a wonderful and welcoming holiday home. Having searched for over 12 months to find the right property, and after endless viewings and lots of research, we stumbled across Oyster Cottage now known as Efail Fach its original name meaning small forge. We knew immediately that it was exactly what we had been searching for and both had butterflies when viewing it for the very first time. We absolutely fell in love with the quaintness of it, the lovely sea views and its nautical feel. It's in the centre of New Quay too which was the icing on the cake! We have now finished making changes to the Cottage to make it more energy efficient and although its was beautiful before, we wanted to indulge our interest and gorgeous interiors, and we hope you enjoy the finished article! We are excited to host our future guests and to make their stays very special.
There are three beaches in New Quay, all within a few minutes’ walk from the cottage. Our favourite coastal walk is New Quay to Aberaeron, stopping off at Y Selar and getting the bus home! There is also a lovely walk to Cymtydu and the Coastal Path very close by. The following link is also useful in terms of local activities etc. https://discoverceredigion.wales/ We advise you to book restaurants ahead of your stay to avoid disappointment. The Blue Bell and The Pepper Pot are favourites of ours in New Quay. We love Stubborn Duckling, Y Selar, The Harbour Master and Hive in Aberaeron just a 20-minute drive away along the coast road. Further afield we also love Crwst (it’s a must) and Pizza Tipi both in Cardigan. They all have websites. There is a lovely butchers and fishmongers in New Quay town supplying fresh produce including homemade cakes! Also, a little favourite that is open in high season is DELIcious who provide locally sourced delicious meals, coffee, wine, local veg and artisan products.
