Formerly the local oyster shucking shed, Oyster Barn is a magnificent detached barn conversion with sea views, located in the tranquil coastal village of Titchwell. Sympathetically renovated to retain historic maritime charm blended with modern features such as the superb viewing platform. Situated within walking distance of the Coasthopper bus stop, leave the car behind to explore the coast. RSPB Titchwell, Briarfields and Titchwell Manor are all within walking distance.

Neighbourhood information

Titchwell is right on the North Norfolk Heritage coast and home to the famous RSPB reserve. The sight and sound of the geese flying overhead in the autumn and winter is one of the most incredible things you will experience. Leave the car at home, and catch the Coasthopper bus to enjoy exploring picturesque neighbouring villages and coasts. Titchwell is is just a short drive from the vast and beautiful Norfolk coastline, situated to easily access stunning Brancaster, Holme-next-the-Sea and Thornham. Pop in to the Thornham Deli to grab a coffee to accompany your beach walk. Brancaster beach stretches for miles and is backed by gentle sand dunes bordering the famous links golf course of The Royal West Norfolk Golf Club. Seals bask on the creek edges and children can safely paddle in the tidal lagoons. The tide goes out a long way revealing the shipwreck of the SS Vina. Please be beware of strong tides and tide times - do not venture out! The sand is perfect for sandcastles and picnics. Kite-surfers provide exciting entertainment on windy days and with the parking only being a few yards from the beach. The nearby bustling seaside town of Hunstanton offers delicious fish 'n' chips, cafes, ice cream parlours, amusements arcades, bowling alley, crazy golf, watersports centre, Sea Life Centre and traditional fun fair. Visit Norfolk Lavender in Heacham and sample local produce from the farm shop and butchers. Food-lovers will be spoilt for choice. Within walking distance are two good places to eat; Briarfields Hotel and the acclaimed Titchwell Manor. A mere five minute drive away is the fabulous The White Horse in Brancaster. Book in for a outstanding fine dining experience at the supremely charming The Gin Trap Inn in Ringstead, the quaint and impressive Michelin starred restaurant The Neptune in Old Hunstanton, and The Old Bank bistro in Snettisham, or, for a lighter bite and delicious coffee, head to The Old Store, also in Snettisham.
