I was a chef, I now enjoy gardening more and North Sea sailing. As a host I know all about my local area; outdoors, sailing, shopping and of course dining; however my guests normally prefer their own space to discover as well. As a traveller I like to know a place not so much as a tourist.

You are within 10/15 mins walking distance of the village with pub serving real ales, pub food, restaurant, 24 hour garage with extensive mini mart and off licence, award winning chip shop with restaurant; and the village Medieval round tower church. Or walk the other way for Felbrigg park (30 mins walk): National Trust Jacobean hall, walled gardens, parkland and lake, the 'Great Wood' forest, Stables cafe and restaurant. For beaches Cromer is nearest with pier, sea-side town 'life', crab fishing boats, pubs, life-guard and surf guard; the well known Holkham gap is just up the coast; Sheringham is just along the coast and nearer you is the lovely quiet little town of Overstrand with steep climb down cliffs to the sandy beach and see our guide to some more out of the way places and hidden beaches. To the west of us is the North Norfolk coast with coastal villages tucked away behind the wild marshes and to the east the broads with wide open spaces and unspoilt coastline.
