Garden flat is a recently renovated 2 bedroom garden flat with free off-road parking offering a fully equipped kitchen (washing machine, microwave, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, toaster); Modern walk-in shower and wet room; 1 double bed, 2 single bunks, 1 double sofa-bed; Dining table and seating; Hairdryer; 38 inch TV with Netflix and 100+ DVDs; Free WiFi; Outdoor patio and seating; Loch Ness, Loch Ness Inn, Urquhart Castle, Loch Ness Exhibition, Co-op supermarket, pharmacy, Italian restaurant, petrol, Cafe 82, fish and chips - all within 1 mile
After 20+ years working home and abroad in mostly the corporate world, my wife and I returned to my native Scotland a few years ago. We have a daughter and decided to explore hosting as a new adventure, as well as to have a place for us to relax as a family, as we love the Loch Ness and highlands area so much for its beauty and relaxation. I'm a keen motorcyclist, I enjoy doing martial arts with my daughter, and spending as much time with my family as possible. Guests can call, text or email at any time during their stay.
The local area is very quiet and peaceful, with beautiful views, scenery and forest walks. Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, Nessieland, Loch Ness Exhibition Centre and the bustling village green area of Drumnadrochit are all within 1 mile. The village itself offers bars, restaurants, farmers’ market on Saturdays, shops, a large tourism information centre and more. Having your own transport is the best way to get around the highlands, although there are regular buses going north to Inverness and south to Fort Augustus and Fort William from a bus stop very near to the property. There is a dedicated shortcut footpath from just outside the property to nearby shops and restaurants a 10-minute stroll away, and there are local woods with marked walkways to the local beauty spots. Drumnadrochit is a great base from which to explore the wider Scottish Highlands and Islands, with the region’s capital city Inverness only 14 miles away offering excellent local, national and international public transport links.
