Modern country cottage set in the countryside just 1,8 miles from picturesque village of Thornton le Dale in North Yorkshire. Easy to reach from all directions of the country on good road network & by train the nearest is station at Malton. Ideal location to visit all the attractions in the Ryedale & North Yorkshire area, including National Parks & tourist attractions both in the countryside and seaside area. Whether by car, on foot or cycling this area is ideal for those that want to chill or have an adventure. The cottage is all on one level with a private garden & secure parking to the rear. Modern interior with kitchen/dining/living area. Bedroom with double bed & bedroom furniture. Shower room with shower, toilet & wash basin. Bed linen and towels are provided. The water is natural spring water from an Artesian well which is excellent for the skin.

We love this area of the country as there is so much to see and do within easy location of our cottage. Excellent road network to reach all places of interest. The location boasts being able to access both the countryside and the coastal resorts, all within easy driving distance. The village of Thornton le Dale is 1,8 miles and has local shops, NISA supermarket, pubs, tea rooms, an ice cream parlour, gift shops, chocolate shop, cycle shop, pharmacy & a lake. We are on hand to give advice on all the places of interest and the best places to eat & drink. We look forward to making new acquaintances and friends, and will do everything we can to make your stay enjoyable. The nearest towns are Pickering & Malton both having supermarkets, restaurants, & local shops with local produce. Cycling is great around this area with country lanes to explore and the forest trails in Dalby forest and the North Yorskshire Moors National Park.

The location of our cottage provides access to Pickering, Malton, York. Scarborough, Whitby, Filey, Flamborough & Bridlington. The are many attractions in the area: Dalby & Cropton forests for walking and cycling, the North Yorshire Moors Steam Railway from Pickering, Goathland to Whitby, Eden Camp, Go Ape, Flamingo Land, Scampston Hall & Gardens, Castle Howard, Wolds Way Lavender & many museums, castle, abbeys & lots more places of interest. Pickering, 5 minutes drive, is ideal for a browse round local shops & holds the war weekend in October, Malton, 10 minutes drive, hosts food & beer festivals & is a thriving market town. York is famous for its Minster, the walls, the cobbled streets and quaint shops, the National Railway museum, Cliffords Tower and much more. Scarborough, Whitby, Filey, Flamborough & Bridlington are all seaside towns within 25 minutes and have a;ll the usual seaside shops and attractions, harbours and places of interest. There is so much to do around this area you need to come again to fit it all in. For those that just want chill, relax & recharge their batteries there is the private garden in which to enjoy a bottle of wine and the sunshine.
