This quirky apartment is right in the heart of Leek overlooking the market place. There are many pubs, restaurants and beautiful independent shops that you can spend a few hours browsing in. The apartment is located in the lively Market Place which comes to life most week ends. There are a couple of late bars within the Market Place which do cause some late night noise at week ends only. It is accessed via 2 flights of stairs typical of old buildings. The layout is the first floor; lounge, kitchen and bathroom, then upstairs to the bedroom. Similar to most terraced houses. Therefore the bathroom is not ensuite. We do accept one well behaved dog, but please keep them off the bed and sofa. It is totally non smoking, you must leave the whole building to smoke. Tea, coffee, hot chocolate are provided but please bring your own milk. Close by are the Roaches, a spectacular gritstone area for climbers and walkers. Many other walks are available including Dovedale, Churnet Valley, Rudyard Lake and Tittesworth Reservoir. Biddulph Grange Gardens 20 mins, Peak Wildlife Park 15 mins, Churnet Valley Railway 15mins, Alton Towers 20mins. Museums can be found in Stoke on Trent where the Spitfire is housed and also the Staffordshire Hoard, well worth checking out.

I am a local girl, always lived and worked in the Staffordshire Moorlands. I absolutely love the area, it has so much to offer from theme parks, to hiking, to museums and zoos. National Trust houses such as Chatsworth, Hadden Hall are easily accessible within 1 hour. Sporty people can climb, canoe, paddle board, play golf, fish, all within 5 miles of the property. Lovely friendly market town, that bustles with specialist markets during the week ends. By car is usually the best,although there are buses from the bus station to Buxton, Hanley, Derby and Macclesfield. As the apartment is in the centre of town, please do not expect a silent rural retreat.
