Poppy cottage is a sweet, delightful single storey stone-built conversion. Surrounded by a mix of farmland, woodland and nearby to the beautiful beaches and seaside towns. Inland we are lucky to have the beauty of the north Yorkshire moors to explore.
We have two delightful cottages on our small holding which is in a wonderful rural location. Located just outside the village of Aislaby, surrounded by stunning countryside, just five miles from the ancient harbour of Whitby, once the home of Captain James Cook, with its cobbled streets, winding streets and hidden alleys, quaint coffee shops, beautiful beaches, traditional restaurants, award-winning fish and chips and of course the Abbey which inspired Bram Stoker’s Dracula.These beautiful cottages offer an ideal base for walking and cycling with routes nearby along the bank of the River Esk, across moorland, through scenic valleys, historic railway tracks and spectacular coastline. Whitby is a mere 15 minute drive away. The village of Aislaby is located in the rolling countryside of the Esk Valley. A small rural village, quiet and secluded with pretty sandstone cottages clustered around a main street with church and Forge Inn. Discover the North Yorkshire Moors steam railway at Grosmont, explore the old Mill on the banks of the River Esk, wander around the pretty fishing villages or spend a day on the beach.
