A unique large one bedroom apartment with a fabulous front patio area directly overlooking Brixham harbour and marina. A beautiful space to sit and watch harbour life whilst relaxing from the patio or lounge. A self contained unit on the ground floor (but with steep steps leading up to flat), that is part of a working fishing family's home. The lounge at the front of apartment has beautiful views out over the marina, the harbour and across to Torquay beyond and has a double sofa bed. A lovely place to sit and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the harbour whilst relaxing with a book or some music. At the rear of the property is a small courtyard area, with additional seating, that is entirely enclosed and child and/or dog friendly. In the owners garden to the rear of the property is a working area where the traditional withy lobsters pots are made all year round, from natural willow. Fast internet access. The apartment is professionally "fogged" with professional anti bacterial cleaning equipment and cleaning fluids between each guest. Off road parking, a short walk around the terrace to access parking.

The Ready family welcome contact from guests before the trip to answer any questions that you may have as to the facilities or the local area. The hosts are a commercial fishing family with trawlers and a small potting boat that fish out of Brixham harbour. There is the opportunity to purchase a fresh fish box, straight from one of our inshore fishing boats, at an additional charge, ready for when you arrive, or for delivery during your stay, subject to fish seasonality and availability. There are also a number of traditional willow lobster pots in the terrace areas, and this old craft can be seen to the rear of the property, during busy pot making times of the year. The host is interested in potting sustainably with zero plastic and welcomes contact for local heritage information on the fishing industry past and present. We really enjoy welcoming guests to beautiful Brixham and creating a tranquil space overlooking the hustle and bustle of a busy harbour, yet within a quiet area for a relaxing stay. The apartment is located in Berry Head Road, a very short walk to a seasonal outside lido (Shoalstone pool open during summer months). Directly overlooking Brixham Harbour and Brixham Marina with stunning views from the front outside patio and from the lounge at the front of the apartment. Guests can reach Breakwater beach by foot in three to four minutes and a short stroll to the coastal path that starts next to The Berry Head Hotel. Brixham is in a fantastic position to access Torquay by car, or via ferry during the spring/summer/autumn season. Immediately behind the Prince William, a lovely pub/restaurant that opens all year round and a short walk into town and the harbour to the many pubs and restaurants that Brixham has to offer. There is so much to do in Brixham at any time of the year, whether you enjoy walking, the coast and seashore, or travelling to other areas such as Cockington Countrypark, Darmouth (via the ferry). Some beautiful walks for anyone visiting us with a dog. There are many dog friendly pubs and restaurants and we very much welcome contact from our guests prior to booking to point them in the right direction to get the most out of a stay.
